Why Hypnotherapy
In the spring issue of Psychotherapy: Theory, Research and Practice, Alfred A. Barrios, PhD published his findings on hypnosis. He wondered why relatively few therapists were using hypnosis as a major tool. Is it because the criticisms usually leveled at hypnosis are true? That it is overrated, actually limited to a small range of problems, unable to produce lasting changes? He gathered clinical evidence and found that hypnotherapy is actually the most effective form of therapy across multiple areas, show a 96% effective rate after only 6 sessions, significantly more effective than other methods. Perhaps this is why hypnosis is growing so quickly today.
